@ChrisFix Is there anyway to remove light surface scratches from textured hard plastics in a cars interior? Or atleast blend them so they’re less noticeable. My 370Z has some light scratches on the center console and passenger door. I really wanna try to get rid of them. Please help, if you have any suggestions

When you were cleaning the speaker grills, I realized that this would work on most things that are made of plastic/metal, etc. I recently saw a video review of a musical keyboard where the reviewer criticized the keyboard for having fabric covering over the speakers, and it clicked that most of what you did to clean up the car interior would work on a keyboard too (well, maybe not the steam cleaner, but you shouldn't need it.)

You do great work. I was looking for chip repair? I guess you haven’t done one yet? I have a 4 series and the hood is a rock magnet ( roads are built to fail around me I guess). Saves the windshield repair that’s free. Put a 3m protection film on it, yeah but I have so many chips now. It’s black now (added protection for bare metal from rust?). I would like to do a chip repair (10 spots maybe, pencil eraser big at most.). Then do 3m protection on hood. Edit, I forgot to add, no the black spots will not be fixed by a clay bar. Paint is gone.

Really enjoyed this, I get a full valet twice a year.... To protect car for the winter and then to have it done again towards the end of spring... In NI so are winters aren't kind to cars. Plus I pay to have someone wash and wax my car once a week. However I clean inside. I have never used soapy water to clean steering wheel. My last car I thought the steering wheel was very worn... Now I know it was dirt that hadn't come off using the products I used. Will now be cleaning steering wheel this way... My interior is cream leather and cream leather steering wheel. I clean my hands before driving and twice a week I clean the wheel. The glass, namely the windscreen do my head in as it's a pain getting rid of the smears and streaks. So thanks for the advice on this too.

Am I alone here in that I am fed up doing all the manual work myself in the US? In other countries that I go to I never touch a thing!!! I did a Biological Cleanup for my car in Geeece and paid $70! The guys worked on it for hours. Why on earth are we paying so much in the US? In Greece the specialty shop owner did it with his employee who is a native Greek who knows the job extremely well. In the US they use some low paid Mexicans to do everything while they charge more than Greece...How does that make any sense??? Also in Greece I never take my car to an automatic car wash. You can find amazing hand car wash places. Here my 100K car is full of scratches from car washes! I paid $15 in Greece for a 2 hour full car wash and detailing while here the auto wash with 2 minute work from low paid Mexicans costs close to $30!!!! Can anyone explain this? And if anyone is saying well salaries are lower in Greece I can assure you that Mexicans here are not paid much more than local Greek shop owners!

I like to keep a clean/new paint brush in the that when I am waiting for my daughter to finish her swimming practice, I go to work dusting the dash, vents and console with the brush. I do this at least once a month. After a deep carpet clean, I bought faux-leather custom inserts for the floors in the front and rear passenger areas ($80 on eBay). Black with red diamond pattern stitching, they make the car look fantastic. Also, I placed rubber floormats in the front that have a deep waffle pattern...this captures snow, dirt, that it seldom gets to the leather floor covering and hardly touches the clean carpet underneath. The floor covering is custom fit to the cars interior, so the look is there, even with the rubber mats on top. This flooring has stayed in great shape for over one year of daily use. Also, real easy to vacuum. The rubber mats are simply power washed and dried. Did the same for the rear cargo area, using the faux leather mats that cover the floor and the sides ($100 on eBay).
